Hi! I am Keiko TSUTSUI, a national certified guide living in Seika-Town. Seika-Town is located in the center of Kansai Science City Keihanna stretching over Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara prefectures. In this Science City, there are more than 150 research facilities, including universities and cultural facilities. Let's visit the center of this Science City, featuring Keihanna Commemorative Park (a big Japanese garden), Keihanna Plaza and Kansai branch of National Diet Library. Besides traditional aspects of Japan in Kyoto and Nara, I hope you will enjoy modern aspects of Japan. ("Science Park Walker" is a Japanese registered trademark #6302192)


Where we visit

Keihanna Commemorative Park -- You can enjoy a peaceful Japanese garden with huge stones, beautiful blossoms or colored leaves, a pond and a stream.
Keihanna Plaza -- This is the center of Science Park Keihanna.  This has the world's largest sundial (registered in Guinness book) in its front.  We will also take a stroll through a big street lined with many research laboratories of big companies like Panasonic and Suntory etc.
Kansai-kan of the National Diet Library -- This library is the second largest national library in Japan, which contains more than 13 million items at present.  After the tour, if you are over 18 years old, you can enter this library and immerse yourself in a quiet intellectual environment.

Date, Time and minimum number of people

*from 9:30 to 12:00, or from 13:30 to 16:00 every Friday (except for new year holidays).
*The tour is operated for a minimum of 1 guest and a maximum of 20.

Tour Fee

*3000 JPY per adult. This includes the entrance fee of Keihanna Memorial Park, but not include the bus fare from Hosono Station to the National Diet Library. 
*2000 JPY for children from 6 to 15 years old if accompanied by their parent(s). 
*1000 JPY for children from 0 to 5 years old if accompanied by their parent(s).
*2800 JPY for seniors over 60 with ID.
*Insurance is NOT included.

You need to reserve at least 8 hours prior to your tour.  Upon receiving your inquiries, we will confirm your booking and send more details.

Meet at 9:20am in front of the ticket gate of Shinhosono Station (station No. B21) of Kintetsu Railroad. Keiko will be waiting for you beside the touch vision. You will reach here by Kintetsu train about 30 min. from Kintetsu Kyoto station （connected to JR Kyoto Station) or 15 min. from Kintetsu Nara Station.

Private Science Park Walker tour can also be organized on weekdays with similar itinerary and price as far as Keiko is available.
