今回の見所
ロゴの置き物はフィギュアではなくオブジェではと考えた点が見所でした。
今日は、キャラクターが描かれた、立体のジャンプロゴ置き物をプレゼント。
この置き物は「ロゴフィギュア」という名称でしたが、違和感がありました。
なぜなら、明らかに「フィギュア」ではなかったからです。
Oxford Learner's Dictionariesによる「フィギュア」「ドール」「ぬいぐるみ」「オブジェ」の説明は次のとおり。
figure : the shape of the human body, especially a woman’s body that is considered attractive
doll : a child’s toy in the shape of a person, especially a baby or a child
stuffed animal : a toy in the shape of an animal, made of cloth and filled with a soft substance
object : a thing that can be seen and touched, but is not alive
「フィギュア」なら「人間の形、特に目を引く女体」でなければなりませんが、ロゴ置き物にはどちらの要素も存在しません。
ジャンプロゴ置き物は、フィギュアというよりも、「見たり触れたりできる物体だが、非生物」の「オブジェ」ではないでしょうか。
