Yamazoe-mura is a rural village located just north-east of Nara city, where Japan’s first permanent capital was established in the year 710. We run a guest house called “Michinori no yado (guesthouse on your road)” in Yamazoe-mura. Here you can experience an authentic traditional Japanese lifestyle, including pesticide-free agriculture, mochi pounding, macrobiotic foods (vegetarian dishes can be arranged upon advanced request), hiking, sightseeing with a local guide, hot bath naturally heated with charcoal, and in-home fire pit cooking. We can serve a maximum of one group pernight. |
